The discovery of the oldest pyramids in the world on the Kola Peninsula could confirm the existence of an ancient civilization on Russian territory. This civilization is likely much older than the Egyptian civilization.

Archaeological excavations of the pyramids on the Kola Peninsula, which are believed to be at least twice as old as the Egyptian pyramids, resumed last year. It is still not known who built them or how.
