It is considered the most sociable dragon sign with strong artistic talents, creativity, warmth, and kindness. The element wood stands for new beginnings and growth and promises luck and prosperity.

This is also how this image came to be: the red Celtic dragon, which watches over us, welcomes the Asian Wood Dragon emerging from the thicket of the freshly blossoming forest to lead this year. This is part of my series where I highlight the connections between Eastern and Western philosophies and aim to present the indigenous cultures of the continents in a new light.
